The Parent’s Aquatic Club (“PAC”) of the Phoenixville Area YMCA is commissioned by and works in conjunction with the Aquatic Department to assist the YMCA and swim team coach in matters pertaining to the smooth functioning of a competitive swimming program within the framework of the association’s values, purposes, policies and objectives and those of leagues we are involved in.

 

APPOINTMENT AND COMPOSITION

 

The parent’s Aquatic Club (PAC) is be composed of coaches, parents and other interested individuals, with voting privileges limited to parents or guardians of active swimmers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To elect from its membership not less than six board members to serve on the PAC Board in the following roles:, the President, Executive Vice President, the Vice Presidents of boys and girls teams, the Secretary and the Treasurer
  • To provide, help train and have certified National YMCA officials for all home and away meets.
  • To hold an annual banquet where awards are presented to team members
  • To be responsible for the conduct of its members at all times while participating in YMCA activities
  • To raise funds to help maintain the YMCA’s competitive swim program and to fund events for the membership and to defray travel and other expenses of team members
  • To adopt and operate under the annual budget of the club
  • To work closely with the YMCA’s Aquatic Department
  • To assist in maintaining a cooperative swim team club
  • To formulate operating guidelines of the Parent’s Aquatic Club
  • To incorporate the YMCA’s values as stated in the YMCA Statement of Purpose into the competitive swimming program
