US Olympic Trials News
A wonderful piece of news to share!
Anya Mostek, a part of both the Phoenixville YMCA and Baldwin School's Class of 2022, competed in the Women's 100 Back Preliminary Heats at the 2024 US Olympic Swimming Trials in Indianapolis!
Anya just finished her Sophomore year at Harvard University. Be sure to catch her highlight, as well as all highlights from this entire week streaming/broadcasting on Peacock (AM Prelims) and NBC (PM Semi-Finals & Finals).

Short course dual/tri meets for all our Summer Swimmers - We are hosting ONE more HOME Saturday morning meet outside at Baker Park and we are going to two AWAY dual meets at area YMCAs as well as attending a YMCA Invitational known as North End Cookie Classic Swim Your Own Age Invitational Meet for all our swimmers ages 12 and under (at North End in Pottstown). Our summer short course season will conclude with YMCA Summer Champs in York PA. These swim meets are for any swimmer registered for the summer. Please see the notes and signup via the links below in Team Unify.
Summer Dual Meet - PAY @ UPY (AWAY) Jun 24, 2024 at 6pm-8:30pm (warmups likely at 5:30pm) at Upper Perk YMCA 1399 Quakertown Rd, East Greenville, PA 18073 (about 45 minutes from our YMCA) Volunteer signups will be posted closer to the event. RSVP has passed. Please email Coach Dave if you need to change your swimmer’s RSVP. Please remember to sign up to volunteer on the Job Signup tab in the event–we need to provide 1 more Stroke and Turn Official (each half) and we still need 7 timers and a Volunteer Check-In Person. Remember that 2nd half of a meet is often shorter than the 1st half and not as hot so a great time to volunteer! Parents are also always needed with Swimmer Lineup Assistance to ensure the 12Us don’t miss their events!
North End Cookie Classic- for 12&U swimmers- June 29, 2024 8:30am-12:30pm at North End Swim Club (N Adams Street, Pottstown, PA 19464). This is a Swim Your Own Age Meet- RSVP due IMMEDIATELY 6/21/2024. Register HERE
Summer Tri Meet - BYNS & UPY @ PAY (HOME) July 6, 2024 at 8:30am-noon (warmups will likely be at 8am) at PAY Outdoor Pools @ the Baker Park complex. Volunteer signups will be posted closer to the event. RSVP for your swimmer is June 29th. Register HERE.

NEW PARENTS- Are you new to PAY Swim Team with basic parent questions or have you been with us a while but have new questions? Please feel free to email Kate Baganski at kbaganski@verizon.net with your non-coach questions. We will set up a Zoom Q&A soon or point you in the direction of a fellow parent. SUMMER SWIM TEAM’s PURPLE TSHIRTS - Our PAY Swim Team’s purple tshirts will continue to be handed out this week and next at some practices until they are all distributed. There are a few sizes available for purchase for $8.00.
BATHING CAPS- If your swimmer ordered a personalized bathing cap, they should be shipped to us before the end of June for distribution.

FACEBOOK-Come follow “PAY Swimming” on Facebook to celebrate the achievements of all of our kids. Even better, text or email your child’s photo and “brags” from our swim meets to swim mom Donna Hungarter to share on the PAY Swimming page at (484) 686-3156 or dmhungarter@gmail.com. And, we have a private “PAY Swim Parents” Facebook page that will be a parent-share page for quick questions, etc. Search for PAY Swim Parents then you’ll be instructed to type in your child’s swim practice group and someone will approve your request if your swimmer is on our PAY team this year. This private site will be monitored for content and is not meant for photos. We will still have our public PAY Swimming FB page, noted above, for sharing photos through parent Donna Hungarter.
