AM PRACTICES
THERE WILL BE AM PRACTICES ON BOTH TUESDAY AND THURSDAY THIS WEEK!
WEEKEND PRACTICES
Novice 1 practices this Friday from 6:15-7:15pm.
Novice 2 practices this Saturday from 2:30-3:15pm.
Saturday’s 10:30am practice this week will be for any National/PreNational/Senior & Senior Prep 1 swimmers who are 8th grade and older.
IMPORTANT NOTE: UNLESS YOU HAVE RECEIVED EXPLICIT PERMISSION AND APPROVAL FOR YOUR SWIMMER TO PRACTICE WITH A DIFFERENT GROUP ON A PARTICULAR DAY, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BRINGING YOUR SWIMMER TO PRACTICES ASIDE FROM THEIR ASSIGNED GROUP.

COACH NOTES:
Bill Schmidt Invitational @ York YMCA
PAY was one of 9 teams from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey to compete at this invitational. Our team had the privilege of being peers with some of the best competition there is to offer in our region.
8 swimmers competed in their first ever meet with PAY: Grace Huber, Grace Hutto, Ella Kozak, Nolan McDonnell, Kaitlyn McGuire, Gabrielle Metry, Gianna Winterbottom, Mitchell Winterbottom
Double Dual Meet @ West Chester YMCA
Our girls team emerged victorious from this dual meet, with wins in the 9-10, 11-12, and 15-21 age groups! Our boys battled to a close defeat, but also had wins in the 8&Under and 15-21 age groups. It was a spirited and competitive first dual and a great way to kick off our PennDel league meets.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON THE 11/4/2023 UPY MEETS: I had the times for the girls and boys meets mixed up on TeamUnify. Our boys meet will take place FIRST, with a 10:00am warmup. Our girls meets will take place SECOND, with an approximate 2:00pm warmup.

November Invitational Meets - WE NEED HEADCOUNTS FOR THESE MEETS ASAP!!
All 12 and Unders are highly encouraged to swim in our own Turkey Trot invitational meet with our 13 and Overs volunteering. ALL TEAM MEMBERS are highly encouraged to attend the TOC meet at York.
PAY Turkey Trot Invitational - Open to ALL 12 and Under Swimmers - Sun 11/12
This is our annual team hosted invitational for the 12 and Under age groups. ALL 12 AND UNDER TEAM MEMBERS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO COMPETE. ALL 13 AND OVER TEAM MEMBERS AND ALL PARENTS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO VOLUNTEER. I ASK THAT ALL NATIONAL TEAM MEMBERS PLAN ON VOLUNTEERING. This meet is our team's biggest fundraiser across the entire calendar year, so your family's contributions to it are valuable!! The volunteer sign up is available under the event in Team Unify. Thank you!
The York YMCA’s “Tournament of Champions”- ALL TEAM - Sat/Sun 11/18-11/19
We have an invitational meet at the York YMCA in the month of November known as the Tournament of Champions. Like our October meet at West Chester, it is open to ALL TEAM MEMBERS as a Closed YMCA Invitational. The meet also has USA approval, meaning that those swimmers that are USA registered will have their times submitted to the USA SWIM database for future qualifying meets and USA swimming milestone recognitions. We annually send a large contingent to this meet, and this is a point in the season where kids are hitting a groove and taking things to a new level in their best events. It sets the tone for our bigger Prelim/Final meets that we have in the months of December and January.

TURKEY TROT TSHIRT DESIGN CONTEST-Another huge thank you to everyone who submitted a t-shirt design and to all of you who took the time to vote in our Turkey Trot T-Shirt design contest. All of the designs were so creative and we loved them all. But there can be just one winner. And that winner, logging nearly 40% of our final votes is.....CARYS ADAIR!!

PAY TEAM TSHIRTS will be distributed at the November swim meets if your swimmer did not pick up their shirt yet.
PAY SWIM CAPS will be distributed to all the swimmers when we see the shipment from the manufacturer.

USED EQUIPMENT or OUTGROWN APPAREL and SUITS: If your family has used equipment or outgrown bathing suits or apparel to donate to our PAY team, please let Kelly Miller or Claudia Zinn or Kate B know because we will be having a Previously Used Sale during our Turkey Trot meet.
KINETIC PHYSICAL THERAPY AT OUR YMCA for swimmers or family members:. Our branch and association partner, Kinetic Physical Therapy, serves the needs of a wide variety of YMCA members, right at our branch in Phoenixville!. FACEBOOK-Come follow “PAY Swimming” on Facebook to celebrate the achievements of all of our kids. Even better, text or email your child’s photo and “brags” from our swim meets to swim mom Donna Hungarter to share on the PAY Swimming page at (484) 686-3156 or dmhungarter@gmail.com. And, we have a private “PAY Swim Parents” Facebook page that will be a parent-share page for quick questions, etc. Search for PAY Swim Parents then you’ll be instructed to type in your child’s swim practice group and someone will approve your request if your swimmer is on our PAY team this year. This private site will be monitored for content and is not meant for photos. We will still have our public PAY Swimming FB page, noted above, for sharing photos through parent Donna Hungarter.
***SUPER SENIORS Last week we inadvertently listed a partial list of our Super Seniors. We are thrilled and excited to have TWELVE Super Seniors on our PAY team this season! These 12 twelve graders will be role models for our younger PAY teammates as they navigate swimming on two teams while studying and planning life after high school. PAY will share their good news and future plans with the team as the months go by.
