Early Week PAY Swim Team Reminders and Requests for Volunteers for our home meet on Saturday
Good morning PAY families!
As we begin our first full week of our summer practice schedule please read these important reminders/notes:

Drop In Question and Answer Swim Team Session TONIGHT in the YMCA lobby from 6-7:30pm.
If you have any used equipment or outgrown swim suits or PAY apparel, please bring them to a coach tonight or to the Y lobby tonight between 6-7:30pm. Volunteers will be organizing the donations and we will have an Apparel and Equipment sale during Saturday's swim meet.
We have our first HOME YMCA swim meet this Saturday! The deadline to sign up your swimmer to attend Saturday's morning swim meet has passed but if you need to change your RSVP for your swimmer, please email Coach Dave ASAP and he can add your swimmer to the meet roster early this week. Unfortunately, due to the logistics of setting up the meet lineup, you cannot just "show up" on Saturday with your swimmer at the meet if they have not formally committed to attending the meet through Team Unify or emailing Coach Dave ASAP. And, if at the last minute your swimmer is unable to attend due to illness or a last minute change of plans, etc. please be sure to email Coach Dave and Coach Kate Deeney ASAP all the way up to Saturday AM. The coaches will be building the lineups for Saturday's meet based on the swimmers they expect to attend based on the RSVP in Team Unify.
***We need all you friendly PAY families to please sign up to volunteer at our home meet to help us host the event successfully. The Job Signup Tab is open under the Team Unify Meet Event and here- Management Console - Phoenixville YMCA swim team - TeamUnify. Many jobs that are up for grabs are for anyone- no experience needed. Officials and Scorers are the ones that need to be certified so that is a small group of you.
***We have a short daktronics (timing console) training session on Thursday night at 6pm inside at the Y at the Myrin pool deck with parent volunteer Yongjun Yu. We always are in need of additional people to learn how to use this console. The console is the equipment that hooks up to the plunger wires and you learn how to start and stop each race to align with the length of the event. (and for our winter meets, the daktronics console connects to our scoreboard) It is a job that enables you to sit at swim meets with the other cool volunteers who do our scoring. Please attend the quick training on Thursday night if you are interested.
***There is a separate Event Signup for Food and Drink and Ice Donations for Saturday's morning home meet in Team Unify. Management Console - Phoenixville YMCA swim team - TeamUnify. Please bring all donations to the tent area near the baby pool during the meet warmups. Volunteers will be setting up and running our team snack bar until about 10:45am. At that time, we will close our snack bar because TD Alfredo's will be opening up their Pizza Stand.
